mr. bill brown has done an excellent job, and for that i am greatful. with drums complete, we are now on to mixes.
drums
over the weekend, bill and i solidified our ideas and energy levels for each song and got him ready to record drum tracks. it’s amazing how live drums adds an exponential amount of drama and interest to my songs, and i’m especially grateful for bill and his work on this first recording.
there’s only so far a drum machine can take you - i’m thinking of adding more devices to the midi chain to spice it up. we’ll see
ep1 - currently recording
my debut ep, ep1, is currently in the recording process. it will be four tracks, based on demos 14, 35, 43, and 48. live drums is our next step, followed by preliminary mixing. this rough mix will be a demo for press packs and booking, and as money comes in i plan on mixing and mastering at chicago mastering service.
